Harbin Hong Kong Brand Festival — Experience Sharing Seminar on "Exploring Northeast China Market"

As concluding session of the Project, a seminar under the banner of “Tapping into Northeast China Market” was held on 5 December 2014.

The Seminar started with a speech by Mr Benson Chan, General Manager of Joinluck Corporation Ltd., who shared his experience in exploring the green food market in the Mainland. Followed by Mr Alfred Ho, Business Development Director of Nexus Industrial Design Ltd. who elaborated on how to capitalise on online marketing to grab business opportunities in China; and Mr Simon Wang, Partner of Ernest & Young, shed light on the tax practices related to domestic sales.

In the second part of the Seminar, Dr Sherriff Luk, Head of PolyU Shenzhen Base Brand Strategy & Innovation Center cum Associate Professor of Department of Management and Marketing of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, announced research finding of the “Study on Northeast China Consumers’ Perception of Hong Kong Brands and Purchasing Behavior” and analyse the strategies for tapping into Northeast China market.

Chairman of the BDC Ms Shirley Chan JP attended the Seminar and presented souvenirs to the speakers on behalf of the organisers. The Seminar attracted about 60 participants.
