Seminar on “Seizing New Opportunities of Hong Kong’s Silver Economy”

Commerce and Economic Development Bureau of HKSAR Government (CEDB), the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong (CMA), The Hong Kong Brand Development Council (BDC), and the CMA Testing joined hands in organising the ‘Seminar on “Seizing New Opportunities of Hong Kong’s Silver Economy”’ on 25 June 2025 at the CMA Conference Hall.

The seminar started with Acting Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Dr Bernard Chan, who elaborated on the prospects of Hong Kong's silver hair market and related policies.  Then, Mr. Francis Ho, Acting Chief Executive of the Consumer Council, summarized the results of the Consumer Council’s research on silver-age consumption and its work in promoting an age-friendly consumer environment. Mr Kenneth To, Senior Manager of Food and Pharmaceutical Division of the CMA Testing, shed light on the prospects of the “Care Food” standard in the Greater Bay Area. Mr Felix Cheung, Founder and CEO of IXON Food Technology introduced the innovative aseptic packaging technology. Ms Peggy Cheung, General Manager of the My Care Healthcare Limited shared on how “My Care Healthcare” using technology to improve production efficiency and quality. CMA Vice President cum Chairman of CMA Testing Mr Robert Lok moderated a Q&A session to bring the Seminar to a close.
