“Branding to Win Seminar”: The Road to Successful Branding in Mainland Market was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center on 11 July 2012. It was jointly organised by the Hong Kong Brand Development Council (HKBDC), the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong (CMA) and the Trade and Industry Department (TID). Ms Linda So, Assistant Director-General of the TID delivered a welcome speech, and Mr Ng Ching Wun, Vice-Chairman of the BDC and Mr Stephen Liang, Senior Product Promotion Manager of the TDC presented souvenirs to the speakers. The seminar invited Mr Vincent Ngan, Brand Building Consultant of Success China Consultant Co. shared on the winningstrategies for Branding in China’s Domestic Market and real challenges faced by HK brands; Mr Anthony Tong, Managing Partner of Robin Bridge & John Liu elaborated on how to safeguard the brand IP in domestic market in China;Mr Yang Yong-tao, Promotion Director of Kingworld Medicines Group Ltd. shared on how to build and manage brand distribution channels in China; and Mr Frank Pak, Managing Director of “Home of Swallows” shared their experience on how “Home of Swallows” to thrive across the border. The seminar received overwhelming response with over 260 participants.
