Established in 1986, Nikkei Japanese Language School ("Nikkei") is a registered institution with the Education Bureau, currently operating three wholly-owned campuses in Jordan, Mongkok and Causeway Bay. As one of Hong Kong's oldest specialised schools offering pure Japanese language education and study-abroad programmes in Japan, Nikkei envisions nurturing Japanese language talents, helping students achieve their aspirations, making contributions to the society and serving the community. Emphasising the importance of communication and practical application, Nikkei strives to enable all students to apply their knowledge and excel in various fields.
Nikkei Japanese Language School is specialised in offering Japanese language education. Its diverse courses cater to a wide range of students, ranging from children, primary and secondary school students, to working professionals and even retirees. Regardless of the learning goals, any student could find a Japanese course suitable for him/her at Nikkei. The School has established collaborative relationship with renowned enterprises, both international and local, to deliver Japanese language training, in a joint effort to cultivate Japanese language talents.
Nikkei places great emphasis on the quality of learning environment and course content. Since 2004, the courses of Nikkei have been included in the list of reimbursable programmes under the Continuing Education Fund (CEF). As one of the very few Japanese language schools in Hong Kong offering CEF-approved courses, Nikkei implements a well-established quality assurance mechanism, ensuring that both course content and services are rigorously monitored. Nikkei has a comprehensive student support system to address their learning needs; and it regularly organizes free cultural activities to enhance students' motivation and provide opportunities for using Japanese language.
Nikkei values the opinions of stakeholders and has established a clear and transparent feedback mechanism, while fostering the holistic development of its staff through regular training, exchanges and social activities that emphasise continuous learning and self-improvement. Over the years, Nikkei has been actively participating in charitable initiatives. For example, through its long-standing partnership with the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association, Nikkei co-hosts charity Japanese language events to promote positive thinking and a spirit of learning and progress.
