Elderly Residential Care
172-174 Boundary Street, Kowloon, Hong Kong
With the vision of “Becoming an elderly institution with best healthcare services”, we persist in providing attentive and compassionate assistance to the elderly and bringing a paradigm shift to the industry — Ms Joey Chan, Chief Executive Director of Yi Wo Yuen Aged Sanatorium Centre Limited.
Yi Wo Yuen Aged Sanatorium Centre has been operating residential care homes for the elderly for about 20 years, with the first centre set up in Kowloon in year 2000; and the Group currently has 3 care and attention homes for the elderly. Upholding the company motto “Respect, Professional, Care”, Yi Wo Yuen is committed to providing holistic nursing care for the elderly, healing the mind, body and soul of the residents. Over the past 3 years, the average occupancy rate, including temporary and long-term residential services, stayed at a high level of over 95% for all its 3 elderly homes.
Striving to provide quality and caring services to the residents, Yi Wo Yuen elderly centres are all recognised as EA1-class care and attention homes under the “Enhanced Bought Place Scheme” of Social Welfare Department. The Group took the initiative to adopt the internationally-accredited standard of “Residential Aged Care Accreditation Scheme”, further enhancing the consistency of service quality; and it from time to time engages professional consultants to deliver systematic training and conduct third-party supervision, which helps improve management and streamline operations.
Over the years, Yi Wo Yuen has continuously invested in innovation, facilities and management system. It was the pioneer in the industry to use induction cooker, in an attempt to reduce the exposure to high-risk situations while supporting environmental protection. Yi Wo Yuen also took the lead in introducing medical patient lift, electronic medication management system, and anti-wandering door monitor system, so as to give a safe and pleasant home for the elderly.
Yi Wo Yuen is a staunch advocate for the spirit of respecting the elderly and an earnest corporate citizen devoted to giving back to the community. While collaborating with community centres to organise charity activities and joining hands with the Volunteer Movement programme in recruiting volunteers to visit nursing home residents, it also provides internship opportunities for students of Personal Care Worker and Health Worker training centres, playing its part to nurture talents for the elderly care industry.
