Company Profile

Mr Lee Kum Sheung, founder of Lee Kum Kee, invented oyster sauce in Nan Shui, Zhuhai, Guangdong Province in 1888. Today, Lee Kum Kee has become a reputable global brand specialising in Chinese sauces, and it also established LKK Health Products Group to introduce Chinese herbal health products to the world. As a household name, Lee Kum Kee aims to reach all people who are passionate about Chinese cuisines.

Lee Kum Kee is dedicated to reinforcing its brand image. With high reputation, exceptional taste, creative ideas, supreme quality, inspiring image and packaging as well as the environmentally-friendly attribute, its eclectic range of products win the recognition of consumers. By dint of resolute commitment to quality, Lee Kum Kee sauces passed through stringent tests in respect of quality, safety and flavour, and had been selected for use on "Shenzhou" spacecrafts and even the International Space Station since 2012.

In 2017, Lee Kum Kee was conferred Silver Award (Manufacturing Sector) of "BOCHK Corporate Environmental Leadership Awards" by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries and Bank of China (Hong Kong), in addition to "Business for Social Good Award" by Our Hong Kong Foundation. In 2018, its Xinhui production base was the first food enterprise in the City recognised as "National Green Factory" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; and it became the first company in the fermented food industry globally that received the "LEED" Platinum certification in 2020. These recognitions are testimonies to the Group's strenuous efforts to promote sustainable development. Besides, the Group Chairman Mr Lee Man Tat was awarded the "Silver Bauhinia Star" by the HKSAR Government in 2018, in recognition of his significant contribution to the community; and he became the first to be honoured with "Hong Kong Distinguished Brand Leader Award" in 2020.
